it's been a while.....

Almost a whole year in fact. I turn 2 next month and have done A LOT of growing since my last post. I am now officially a walking, talking toddler. This week I went to the beach with mommy, daddy and mom-mom (grandma). Mommy took a bunch of pictures which will hopefully be uploaded to the blog in the next few days. There was a playground next to our hotel and I made a friend there. I even had a conversation with her! I usually don't have many conversations - I tend to just repeat words, ask for things, or answer a single question. But this was a whole 3 part exchange!

Friend: Do you want to play with me?
Me: Sure.
Friend: Let's go on the slide.
Me & Friend going down slide: Whee!
Friend: what should we do next?
Me: slide 'gain.

Afterward I told mommy "fren, fun" which translates into "I made a friend and had fun". She thought the whole thing was very cute.

My busy weekend!

This weekend I had my birthday party. It was a lot of fun because I got to eat more cake!

I'm a big girl now - a whole year old. Daddy took the day off work and we went w/ Mommy to Cox Farms. Then Grandma, Tito Cy, Tita Fe, and Ate Jaden came over for dinner. Today I:

Rode down a sled


Looked at cows
Went on a hayride
Pet goats. I really, really liked the goats.
Climbed on hay. This I did not like.

Ate cake. Lots and lots of cake.



Opened presents.
Played w/ my alligator.
And tried on my Halloween costume.

It was a wonderful day!

40 weeks and 4 days...

is how old I am today. It's also how long my mommy was pregnant for. I have officially been living on the outside longer than the inside. A few recent pics -

Happy 9 months and 2 days!

Mommy & Daddy tried to get me to sit still for my monthly shot but I had other ideas.



I turned 9 months old on Monday. I celebrated by waking up 2 hours earlier than usual. This is what I was doing at 7am:



I like to talk a lot these days. Mostly I say, "Babababa" like in the video but I've also said, "kuh kah" (kitty kat) and "mom" and "mama". Other things I like to say are, "In-ga" and "Bama". Maybe I'm an Obama fan?

We also celebrated Fathers day. I took Daddy to a car show and then we had dinner w/ Grandpa and Gran-Marie.
